Film IV – 01/25

On Wednesday we will see one of the first films blacklisted by Hollywood in 1954 and today it is one of the classic films of feminist cinema.
Based on true events, we will follow the strike of Mexican-American workers in a zinc mine in New Mexico, and this protest comes with demands for dignified treatment, equal wage parity and respect.
When demands to stop these efforts are highlighted, women take it upon themselves to wage this battle by leaving aside what society considers for them to be a standard life.
