Yasujiro Ozu is considered one of the world’s most influential film directors. Starting in the 1920s during the silent film era and continuing into the early 1960s, Ozu’s films are known for their unique technical style and breaking of standard Hollywood conventions, to such an extent that some of his films are considered to be among the greatest of all time. Tokyo-Ga is Wender’s documentary on the legendary Japanese filmmaker, ranging from explorations of his style to interviews with notable people he worked with.
The film program is made possible in collaboration with Wim Wenders Foundation and Goethe-Institut with the support of the German Embassy in Pristina.
All screenings are free and shown in their original language with Albanian and English subtitles
